QR pet ID tag
We are building the MásVidas QR tag for dogs and cats. It will work like the helmet sticker: whoever finds your pet scans the tag with a phone camera, sees their name and care notes, and alerts you with one tap, telling you where they found them, without seeing your phone number. It is not available yet; message us and we will let you know when it launches.

How will it work?
- You create your pet’s profile in your MásVidas account: name, breed, special care.
- You attach the QR code to their collar or tag.
- If they get lost, whoever finds them scans the QR code. No app needed.
- They see an “I am lost and want to go home” message and tap “Notify my owner”.
- You get an alert with where your pet was found and that person’s details so you can call them.
How is it different from an engraved tag?
| MásVidas QR tag | Engraved tag | |
|---|---|---|
| Your phone number | Not shown: MásVidas alerts you | Engraved for anyone to see |
| If you change numbers | Update it in your dashboard | Engrave a new one |
| Special care notes | Fit in the profile (medication, allergies) | Do not fit |
| Where they were found | Included in the alert | Depends on someone calling you |
What should I do in the meantime?
- Put a tag with their name and a contact number on them today: it is better than nothing.
- If your vet offers microchipping, consider it: vets and shelters can read it with a scanner.
- Keep a recent full-body photo of your pet handy in case you need to search for them.
If you ride or drive, MásVidas is already available for you today: see what is an emergency QR code.
