Only the recipient creates an account, when they activate the gift with their own medical profile and contacts. That way you never handle someone else’s medical details, and they decide what information is public.
How long does the gift last?
A full year from the moment the recipient activates the gift with their account. During that year their QR code shows their profile and lets bystanders alert their family. After that, they can renew for US$4.99 a year to stay protected; if they do not, the QR code stops showing their details. You are not signed up for anything: the gift is a one-time payment.
Does the gift include a printed sticker?
The gift includes a year of service and the printable PDF of the sticker with their QR code, so they can print it at home or at a print shop. The pre-printed vinyl sticker is a separate, optional product.
